Transportation to the Experience
Pick-up is available from selected areas. Guests staying in Montezuma meet directly at the Cabo Blanco Travelers office or designated meeting point.
Relax by the Pacific
Enjoy free time near the coast while the sun begins to disappear behind the mountains of the Nicoya Peninsula.
Wait for Darkness
As the last light disappears, we prepare for the main experience. Darker conditions help reveal the natural glow more clearly.
Swim in Bioluminescent Water
Once conditions are dark enough, we begin the bioluminescence experience. You may enter the water wearing a life jacket or enjoy the phenomenon from the boat.
Movement through the water can create flashes of natural blue light around you, transforming the ocean into an unforgettable nighttime experience.
Return Transportation
After the activity, transportation returns guests to Montezuma and the selected pick-up areas. Return times are approximate and may vary according to conditions and location.
Everything You Need for the Evening
Sunset, darkness, sea conditions and the intensity of bioluminescence vary naturally. Times may be adjusted slightly to provide the safest and best possible experience.

Choose an available lunar date, select your departure area and send your reservation request directly to our team.
The tour becomes available on the second night after the Full Moon and remains available through the fifth night after the New Moon.
Booking & Tour Policies
Cancellation requests must be received at least 72 hours before the scheduled service to qualify for a refund. No-shows are non-refundable.
When snorkeling equipment is provided, its use is included. Loss or damage to a complete snorkeling set is subject to a US$60 replacement charge.
Schedule and itinerary may be modified when necessary because of weather, sea, operational or safety conditions.
Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon. Visibility and intensity can vary according to environmental conditions.
